ADVANCED LACROSSE and PACIFIC CASCADE ARE PROUD TO BE BRINGING INDOOR YOUTH LACROSSE TO SEATTLE!
Advanced Lacrosse and Pacific Cascade Lacrosse Club have teamed up with Arena Sports to form a Sunday afternoon CASCADE CLASH indoor lacrosse league (9 teams) this Fall/Winter and wants to gauge your interest in fielding a team. The league will run all games at the brand new Magnuson Park Arena Sports Facility in Seattle (Sand Point neighborhood) scheduled to open in September, 2010.
This is true indoor lacrosse played in a rink - think NLL Washington Stealth!
SEASON: The season will run each Sunday afternoon from late October through Mid-January (playoffs) with a few black-out dates around the holidays. The league is game-focused – there are no scheduled practices.
PLAYER AGE: Players must be in the U-15 age bracket (7th and 8th graders during the 2010-2011 school year and no 9th graders are permitted).
TEAMS: Each will be comprised of 14 players including a goalie. Players form their own teams. We strongly encourage community based teams but there are no limitations - any player can play on any team, however, a player can only play on one team. Each team will need a parent coordinator or coach.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
- 8 guaranteed games (55 minutes)
- Indoor Lacrosse training session before first game hosted by Chris Panos (12-year NLL professional, three-time Mann Cup winner and US National Indoor Team member)
- Complete indoor goalie equipment provided (just like the Stealth wear - helmet, pads, gloves, stick)
- Indoor goals provided
- Team pinnies provided
- Schedule, game results and standings posted weekly on website
- Top four teams make end of season playoff
- Two officials for each game, modified rules (No cross checking, No boarding)
- Each team must have a coach, although a dad/mom can take the lead
- Pricing is estimated at $195 per player for the season (for a 14-player roster)
EARLY REGISTRATION:
We anticipate that demand will be high and teams will be formed very quickly so please respond by no later than July 31st if you intend to enter a team. If you have interested players, but not 14, please let us know as we may be able to combine players from multiple programs to for a team.
